My husband and I wanted limited people at our birth. We view birth as sacred and personal. We chose to do a home birth, Ashley was supportive and not fear based. She trusted us from the beginning, and we were open to information. And she did not disappoint. Between both of us, I knew what I was getting prepared for, as much as a new mom can. Understanding the physiological side of birth did make me feel accepting of any outcome.

Ashley showed up ready to our home in early labor, between her and my husband, I was never alone. She was with us til the end, keeping me motivated and respecting all of my wishes. When she wanted to help me, she would always ask, which in the moment I laughed. But I love the consent, I think it’s where our hospital births tend to lack.

After the birth, Ashley stayed and helped clean, feed me, and make sure we were both ok. Ashley and my husband were my dream team. They both helped me make this dream birth a reality. We are forever grateful to Ashley.
